Who we are
PM-Talks (“we”, “us”, “our”) operates the website pm-talks.com, which publishes project management articles, premium content, and downloadable templates for project management professionals.
For the purposes of the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), PM-Talks acts as the data controller of the personal data described in this policy.
If you have any questions about this policy or the way we handle your data, you can reach us at pm-talks@outlook.com.

We only collect the personal data we need to provide our services.
Account data
Your name, email address, and password (stored in hashed form) when you create an account.
Purchase data
Order references, purchased products, and billing metadata generated when you buy premium content or templates. We do not store complete payment-card details on our servers.
Contact form data
Your name, email address, subject, message, and submission timestamp when you use our contact form.
Usage data
Technical information such as IP address, browser type, device, pages viewed, and timestamps, collected through server logs and privacy-friendly analytics.
Cookies
Strictly necessary cookies required for authentication and security, and optional cookies used only with your consent (where required by law).
How we use your data

Optional marketing
Only where you have given us explicit consent. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR. You can withdraw consent at any time.
Sharing your data
We do not sell your personal data. We only share it with trusted service providers who help us operate PM-Talks:
- Our hosting and infrastructure provider, used to run the website and database.
- Paddle, which acts as Merchant of Record for purchases made on PM-Talks and processes payments, billing, tax, refunds, and related support under its own terms and privacy policy.
- Our email delivery provider, used for transactional emails such as account notifications and contact form messages.
These providers act as data processors on our behalf under written agreements, except where Paddle operates as an independent Merchant of Record for the transactions it processes.
Where data is transferred outside the European Economic Area, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses.
How long we keep your data
- Account data is kept for as long as your account is active, and deleted or anonymised on request.
- Purchase and invoice data is retained for the period required by applicable tax and accounting laws.
- Contact form messages are retained for up to 24 months, then deleted.
- Server logs are retained for a short period necessary for security and troubleshooting.
Your rights under GDPR
If you are located in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, you have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you.
- Request correction of inaccurate data.
- Request deletion of your data (the “right to be forgotten”).
- Restrict or object to certain processing.
- Receive your data in a portable format.
- Withdraw consent at any time, where processing is based on consent.
- Lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
To exercise any of these rights, contact us at pm-talks@outlook.com. We will respond within the timeframes required by law.
Security
We use industry-standard technical and organisational measures to protect your data, including encrypted connections (HTTPS), hashed passwords, role-based access controls, and row-level security in our database.
No system is completely secure; we continuously work to improve our safeguards.
Children
PM-Talks is intended for professionals and is not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via the website and, where appropriate, by email.
The “Last updated” date at the top of this page always reflects the current version.
